THE CHALET

Harmony & Excellence

A family story

This chalet is built on family land, tended by my ancestors for generations. Its construction was, above all, a family adventure. From preparing the land to its completion, this project would never have seen the light of day without the solidarity and invaluable help of our community.

We wanted to design this chalet respecting Savoyard traditions, while taking into account current climate challenges. Behind its authentic appearance lies a bioclimatic construction, designed to blend harmoniously into the mountain and preserve its environment.

The craftsmen who participated in this project all live in the valley. Many of us have known each other since childhood. Their expertise and their connection to the region have greatly contributed to giving this chalet its soul. The materials were carefully chosen for their aesthetic appeal, their durability, and, above all, for being as locally sourced as possible.

The chalet is named "La Farra" in homage to a hay meadow located further upstream from the chalet, which my grandfather maintained for many years with a scythe. He had a deep attachment to this place, and it seemed natural to us to pay tribute to him by naming this chalet after him.
Today we hope that this place will allow you to fully enjoy the mountain and, in turn, create beautiful memories.

The Stay

The true heart of the chalet, the living room welcomes you in a warm and elegant atmosphere, designed for unforgettable moments of sharing in Val Cenis.

Bathed in natural light thanks to large openings, this living space offers a 180° panoramic view of the Haute Maurienne mountains, creating a spectacular setting in every season.

In the center of the room, the pellet stove diffuses a soft and enveloping heat, ideal for relaxing after a day on the ski slopes or alpine trails.

The living room opens onto a large, fully equipped, convivial kitchen, designed to combine conviviality and practicality.

Extending from the living room, you'll find a large, south-facing terrace, a true invitation to relax. A privileged outdoor space to fully enjoy the surrounding nature.

The Kitchen

A true extension of the living room, the kitchen has been designed as a living space in its own right, where gastronomy and conviviality meet in an exceptional setting.

Open, fluid and perfectly integrated, it naturally invites people to gather, exchange ideas and savor every moment.

Clean lines, carefully selected materials, high-end finishes…
The kitchen boasts a simple and elegant aesthetic, in perfect harmony with the spirit of the chalet.

More than just a kitchen, it's an invitation to slow down, savor, and share.

Designed to host the most precious moments, the family room offers a perfect balance between intimacy, comfort and conviviality.

The room is harmoniously organized around two distinct themes:

  • a main space with a refined and soothing 160x200 cm double bed, designed to offer parents soft and restorative nights.

  • a mountain corner dedicated to children, with 80x190 cm bunk beds, designed as a warm refuge on their scale.

Everyone naturally finds their place, in a gentle atmosphere conducive to rest and shared moments.

The room has its own private bathroom, offering comfort and independence to the whole family.

The Dormitory

Much more than just a sleeping space, this dormitory reinterprets mountain codes with a decidedly high-end approach.

Designed to accommodate children, teenagers or friends, it combines conviviality, comfort and aesthetics, in an atmosphere that is both warm and refined.

Bathed in natural light, the dormitory benefits from direct access to the south-facing terrace, offering a beautiful opening to the outside and the alpine light.
